Ellis, a three-star JUCO recruit from Florida SouthWestern State College, averaged 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game across his two years at Alabama.

Last season, Ellis was a major contributor to the Crimson Tide, averaging over 30 minutes per contest and shooting at an impressive clip. The Fort Myers, FL native shot nearly 45% from the floor and over 36% from three, which ranked first on the team.

While Ellis was certainly a weapon on offense for the Tide, his defensive game was equally as impressive. Ellis led the team in both steals (1.9 per game) and rebounds (6.1 per game).

The Kings finished last season as one of the worst teams in the NBA both offensively and defensively, so a player like Ellis who can provide help on both ends of the floor could fit in nicely.

Sacramento did draft two solid players with its first and second round picks, but Ellis is far from a longshot to make the roster.
