Fewer than 800 individual tickets remain for Alabama baseball’s 2016 season-opening matchup with the Maryland Terrapins scheduled for this Friday, Feb. 19. The two teams are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch as the Crimson Tide officially reopens Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

Friday will mark Alabama’s first game back at home in the new "Joe" after the stadium was completely renovated over the last 18 months. Only 800 tickets remain out of a total 4,500-plus fixed seats for the game, so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets now to ensure that they are a part of this historic night.

The game is sponsored by Coca-Cola and the evening’s activities will feature a grand reopening ceremony, including a pregame ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Athletics Director Bill Battle and the steering committee that helped envision and build the new stadium. Fans in attendance will also receive a commemorative ticket for the grand reopening.

Face painting stations and inflatables will be available for children throughout the night, and a fireworks ceremony will wrap up the night immediately following the final out of Friday’s game.

Tickets to be a part of Friday’s game, and the stadium's entire inaugural season, are currently on sale and can be purchased online at RollTide.com/Tickets, through Sewell-Thomas.com, or by calling 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849). Fans can also purchase tickets in advance at the Alabama Ticket Office, located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum, or on game day at one of the ticket windows surrounding the stadium.

Every Alabama baseball game can be heard on Tide 99.1.
