On Monday night, Auburn High School linebacker Rashaan Evans joined SEC Recruiting with Baron and Bone to talk about the home stretch of the recruiting process and shared some insight into how he'll come to a decision.

The Rivals 100 linebacker has narrowed his choices down to three schools: Auburn, Alabama, and UCLA. Many people believe that this battle is a two-horse race between the two in-state schools, but Evans is keeping very quiet.

"To be honest with you, I may have a leader after all of my visits," Evans said. "Those visits will really be the deciding factor to be honest with you."

The Alabama 6A Lineman of the Year will be taking his official visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend along with several other coveted recruits. The following weekend he'll head down to Auburn. The final weekend before Signing Day remains open at this point.

Evans also participated in the Under Armour All-American Game presented by Rivals.com to begin the new year, where Andrew Bone believes he played well enough to earn a fifth star. During the trip, he had the opportunity to play with and against a lot of Alabama and Auburn verbal commits. Evans said both sides tried to sway him, but one guy on each side have worked him the hardest.

"Oh man, if you really want to talk about that, it is almost like (the other players) are professional recruiters themselves. Tre' (Williams) with Auburn has been recruiting me since he committed to the Tigers.

"Now, as far as Alabama, Bo (Scarbrough) is probably the guy recruiting me the hardest. Bo and I are real cool. I would say out of those two guys, it would probably be neck-and-neck."

Evans said he won't make a decision until National Signing Day on February 5 because he wants to make sure he's weighed all of his options.

"I really don't want to be that guy that commits and then decommits. If I commit, I'm committed to that school for the next three to four years."
