Best Crimson Tide Performances from NFL Week 14

Despite some tough losses for many of the Crimson Tide's brightest NFL stars, several former Alabama players put on excellent performances for their teams. All across the league, the crimson influence was, once again, very prevalent.

As the playoff continue to draw closer, these stars are helping their teams make the late season push. Here are your best Crimson Tide performances from NFL week 14!

Najee Harris, RB Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers came out against the Vikings on Thursday night looking completely flat. Pittsburgh dug themselves a 29-0 hole in the halfway point of the third quarter before the offense finally woke up. Once finding some rhythm, the Steelers mounted a nearly incredible comeback that ultimately came up just short, losing 36-28. A massive part of their comeback effort was Najee Harris who finished the game with over 100 all purpose yards once again, and scored two crucial touchdowns. The rookie running back continues to be the backbone of Pittsburgh's offense, and is a bright spot on a team that is likely to miss the playoffs.

Anthony Averett, CB Baltimore Ravens

Anthony Averett, despite a close loss to the division rival Browns, was excellent for Baltimore on Sunday. The fourth-year corner finished the game with five tackles, two pass deflections and an interception that kept the game close heading into halftime. The Ravens lost Lamar Jackson early in the game, but were able to keep it close with a strong performance from their defense. Sitting now at 8-5, Baltimore is still in the driver seat for earning a playoff spot.

C.J. Mosley, LB New York Jets

C.J. Mosley continues to be the most impressive player on a struggling Jets team. The veteran linebacker had another 10+ tackle performance on Sunday, finishing with 17 tackles in a loss to the Saints. Mosley now has 117 tackles on the season, placing him in the top-10 of the league, and with four games to go, could potentially break his own record of 133 which he set in his rookie season as a Baltimore Raven. The Jets are an abysmal 3-10, but the defense has not been the biggest reason for their struggles.

Jonathan Allen/Daron Payne/Landon Collins, Washington Football Team

A first ever, three-for-one special with this trio of former Bama stars this week. In a tough loss to the division rival Cowboys, Allen, Payne and Collins were outstanding. The three combined for 18 tackles, three TFL's and all of Washington's four sacks. Allen and Payne were menaces up front, wreaking havoc on the Cowboys offensive line who barely had an answer for them, while Collins was making downhill plays and cutting off routes all night long. Although suffering a loss, the Football Team defense, more specifically the combination of Allen, Payne and Collins, managed to slow down a potent Dallas offense and should give Washington fans hope for the future.

Rashaan Evans, LB Tennessee Titans

Coming back from an injury, Rashaan Evans played quite possibly his best game as a Titan yet. The fourth-year linebacker finished with just six tackles, but was a playmaker all over the field, even hauling in an interception. Much of what the former Alabama star did on Sunday went unnoticed in the stat book, but was very apparent on film, as he frequently found himself either in the backfield or stuffing running lanes. Evans was a player many expected Tennessee to potentially let walk after this season, but if this sort of play continues, he may be in line for an extension.
