Miller, Lawson Share Thoughts on LSU Coaching Change
Many may view the absence of Brian Kelly as an advantage for Alabama against LSU this Saturday, but Alabama's players don’t share that view. They acknowledge the Tigers' capabilities, emphasizing that the Alabama-LSU rivalry is serious, regardless of who’s coaching.

Veterans like running back Jam Miller and Deontae Lawson, having faced the Tigers multiple times, understand firsthand how intense the rivalry can be.
On Tuesday, both were asked about Kelly’s departure and if it’ll make a difference when taking the field against the Tigers. "We're going to prepare for anything; there’s no telling what LSU’s got under their sleeves. We just got to be ready and prepared," Miller said.
After a hot start, the Tigers' season hasn’t gone as planned, even after maintaining a spot in the Top 25 AP Poll for several weeks. Despite their recent failures, they've shown some flashes of fight and determination. Lawson noted that film study further exemplifies the Tigers' fight, believing they will be the best skill players the Crimson Tide will see this season.
“This is probably the best skill guys we're going to play all year. They're fast, they're explosive; they can turn a drag route into a touchdown, so we've got to be very detailed and fundamental on how we swarm to the ball and make sure we leverage the ball inside out and things like that.”
With 89 meetings in history, Alabama historically dominates the series with a 57-27-5 record. However, the Tigers have proven their ability to make the rivalry highly competitive. The games between Alabama and LSU are more than just another match on the schedule; they represent a clash of titans, where history, pride, and bragging rights are fiercely contested.
This rivalry has produced champions, unforgettable moments, and NFL talent, showcasing the passion and intensity that define college football.
