Simpson, Proctor Named AP Midseason All-Americans
Midseason Awards are being handed out as we are halfway through the college football season. On Wednesday, Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson and center Parker Brailsford were named Midseason All-Americans by The Sporting News. On Thursday, Simpson was again named a midseason All-American by the Associated Press, joined this time by Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor.

Simpson, a fourth-year player for Alabama in his first year starting for the Crimson Tide, has vaulted himself into the Heisman conversation and is currently in contention to be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 NFL draft. Through Alabama's first six games of the year, Simpson has completed 70.9% of his passes for 1,678 yards and 16 touchdowns, adding 58 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
After a struggling performance in week one, Alabama's left tackle, Kadyn Proctor, has shored up the left side of Alabama's offensive line, grading out at a 92.2, according to PFSN through the first five games of the 2025 season.
Other SEC players joining Simpson and Proctor as AP First-Team Midseason All-Americans:
Ahmad Hardy, RB - Missouri
Ar'Maj Reed-Adams, OL - Texas A&M
Mario Craver, WR - Texas A&M
Cashius Howell, DL - Texas A&M
