The first round of the mock playoffs are in the books, and according to the results of the polls, the voters basically went chalk.

1. Florida State 68.18%, 8. Missouri 31.82%

2. Auburn 95.45%, 7. Ohio State 4.55%

3. Alabama 90.91%, 6. Baylor 9.09%

5. Stanford 77.27%, 4. Michigan State 22.73%

Now that we're in the semifinals, who will play in the true National Championship?

The Seminoles will take on the Pac-12 Champions Stanford in this great semifinal match-up. We'll get to see Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston challenged by a physical defense that likes to get after the quarterback. Stanford Head Coach David Shaw has thrived in big games like this, and although the Cardinal would probably be double digit underdogs, Stanford could control the clock well enough to keep it close throughout.

Iron Bowl, Part Deux. If we thought the 2013 version of the Iron Bowl was the most important ever, this one tops the cake. This has an eerily similar feel that the 2011 Bama vs. LSU rematch had. Revenge, bragging rights, perception, and a national championship berth are just some of the factors that will be present. If Bama can't find a way to slow down the Tiger rushing attack, this could again go down to the wire. But if Auburn's running game is contained, or even halted, can Nick Marshall make enough plays to send Aubie to the National Championship?
