Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats has been named to the Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year Late Season Watch List.

Oats has led the Crimson Tide to a 22-4 season thus far, a 12-1 conference record, has beaten two then-No. 1 teams, and has been ranked the entirety of the season which includes being as high as No. 1.

The other coaches on the list include St. Mary's Randy Bennett, Pittsburgh's Jeff Capel. Northwestern's Chris Collins, UCLA's Mick Cronin, Missouri's Dennis Gates, College of Charleston's Pat Kelsey, Florida Atlantic's Dusty May, Xavier's Sean Miller, Iowa State's T.J. Otzelberger, Purdue's Matt Painter, Houston's Kelvin Sampson, Marquette's Shaka Smart, Kansas State's Jerome Tang, and Texas' Rodney Terry.

The top ten candidates will be announced on March 9 and the final four finalists will be  announced on March 20. The winner will be announced on April 2.
