Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Alabama's senior night will take place after the Crimson Tide's game against Florida tomorrow night on Wednesday. It will be the final home game for Alabama seniors inside Coleman Coliseum.

Five players will participate in senior day activities - Mark Sears, Grant Nelson, Clifford Omoruyi, Chris Youngblood, and walk-on Max Sharnowski. However, that is not every senior on the Crimson Tide's roster.

Latrell Wrightsell Jr. and Houston Mallette are listed as seniors on the Crimson Tide roster but will not participate in senior day activities.

Wrightsell ruptured his Achilles eight games into the season, ending what was expected to be his fifth and final season of college basketball prematurely. He averaged 11.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and two assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from three-point range before suffering his injury.

Mallette was originally announced to be redshirting for the entire season before the season began in November, but played in six games after Wrightsell's injury against Oregon in Las Vegas. Mallette's season was also cut short due to complications with a previous knee injury, which shut him down for the remainder of the season. Before his injury, Mallette averaged 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game while shooting 58.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats said earlier in the year he anticipated both Wrightsell and Mallette getting medical redshirts. On Tuesday, Oats updated the status of both players.

"I don't think you get confirmation until you've submitted it all after the season, but they're both medically related, haven't played in 30 percent of the games and didn't play in any game after the midway point, which are the rules," Oats said. "Talking to Clarke [Holter], he doesn't anticipate any issue with either of them. Obviously, Wrightsell tore an Achilles, and Houston couldn't participate in any workouts all summer, was limited all fall, and still is limited in what he can do now. I don't think he anticipates there being any issue with those two guys getting their medical redshirt."

Assuming Wrightsell and Mallette can get the medical redshirts, that would be two big pieces for the 2025-2026 Alabama men's basketball roster added back.
