NFL Quarterback Gives Tua Tagovailoa High Praise

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa may be serving as a backup to Jalen Hurts, but the talent level of this young QB from Hawaii is getting high praise from someone on the professional level.

Former Heisman Trophy winner for the Oregon Ducks and current Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota mentored Tagovailoa while he was in high school and according to John Zenor of APSports, Mariota had some positive things to say about Tua's future moving forward in his career.

It's tough to determine how good Tagovailoa will be after three games on the collegiate level, but when steps front on the field, he hasn't disappointed.

Although he struggled against the Colorado State Rams last week, he bounced back in the Crimson Tide's 59-0 victory against the Vanderbilt Commodores where he finished with eight completions for 103 yards and two touchdowns.

In three games, Tagovailoa has thrown for 167 yards and three touchdowns with a completion rate of 65.2.

Back in April, former Baltimore Ravens quarterback now analyst Trent Dilfer joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to talk about working with Tagovailoa and how he's ability as a passer is similar to what he seen out of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his collegiate days.

With praise coming from high places, there is no doubt when it's Tagovailoa's time to step in as the starter for the Crimson Tide, there should be no drop off on the offensive side of the ball.

The freshman quarterback still has a lot to work on, but the future is bright for Tua Tagovailoa, so you should start learning how to say his name now.
