It’s hard to believe that the Tide’s offense can get any better after losing four first-round wide receiver NFL draft picks, Henry Ruggs lll, Jerry Jeudy, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith in the last two years, but it can. Bama's offense continues to consist of highly ranked players in the 2021 season.

Returning wide receivers, John Metchie lll who is a junior and Slade Bolden, a returning senior, have all eyes on them right now. Ohio State transfer Jameson Williams will also be filling an important role and will continue to add not only speed but experience to Alabama’s offense.

That’s not to mention the Crimson Tide did a phenomenal job recruiting at the wide receiver position this year. All four incoming wide receivers bring something to the table that Alabama’s offense could benefit from. JoJo Earle being productive with the ball, Agiye Hall being a powerhouse, Ja'Corey Brooks with his route running and Christian Leary bringing speed.

There is no doubt that these incoming wide receivers are very talented, but is their lack of experience something to watch out for this season? In a press conference this evening, coach Nick Saban shares his opinion on the incoming wide receivers as a whole.

“I think, you know, some of them have done really, really well and some of them have to be a little more consistent. You know I think it’s a development process for young players," said Saban. "Consistency and performance are what really defines success, and I think sometimes they’re not sure what they’re doing sometimes, so they aren’t playing fast. Sometimes they get inpatient and just cut things short. But they also show that they have a lot of upside in terms of their ability to make a really positive contribution to the team,”
