Alabama Linebacker Enters Transfer Portal
The Crimson Tide had its first linebacker enter the transfer portal, with linebacker Noah Carter announcing his intentions to transfer, according to On3 Sports' Hayes Fawcett.

Carter, a 6-foot-4, 243-pound linebacker from Peoria, Arizona, attended Centennial High School, and originally committed to head coach Kalen DeBoer when DeBoer was at Washington. Carter was a four-star linebacker prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 82 overall player, the No. 8 edge rusher, and the No. 3 player in the state of Arizona.
After DeBoer accepted the head coaching job at Alabama, Carter withdrew from his letter of intent with the Huskies and followed DeBoer to Alabama. He enrolled at the captsone on May 2024.
Carter has appeared in 15 games for the Crimson Tide during his two-year tenure. He played in three games in 2024 and redshirted at the season's end. In 2025, he appeared in 12 games total, making nine stops, pressuring the quarterback two times, and adding 0.5 tackles for loss for the Crimson Tide.
Carter is the ninth transfer from Alabama during this transfer portal cycle. Here is every player who has entered the transfer portal from Alabama:
WR Bubba Hampton
WR Jalen Hale
WR Jaylen Mbakwe
OL Roq Montgomery
OL Joseph Ionata
OL Olaus Alinen
RB Richard Young
LB Noah Carter
The transfer portal officially opened on Friday, January 2, and will remain open for 15 days.
