Que Robinson Reflects on His Alabama Journey
INDIANAPOLIS- Linebacker Que Robinson was one of the most patient players to play at the University of Alabama. His last season with the Crimson Tide showed more of the kind of player, leader, and person he is.

Robinson saw his best football action during the 2024-25 season. This past season exemplified what he could do beyond special teams and how he can be disruptive on defense as well. When asked where he showed the most improvement this season as a pass rusher, he stated, "Really everything. I don’t think I had the most opportunity to do really anything on defense in past seasons, so my main thing this last season was just to show these guys that I can do any and everything.”
To him, having one season of film means there may be some areas that will need to be critiqued, which will be addressed during his meetings with teams. "In my opinion, I would say everything. I’m not going to say that I’m a finished product. I’ve only had one year of film, so I feel that I can improve on any and everything,” said Robinson regarding the main things he can improve on.
Many wondered what factored into his readiness once he had his opportunity. Was it the competition the Southeastern Conference fosters, or more importantly, was it the competition he went against while practicing at Alabama? The Crimson Tide is known to train hard and have their players ready at any given moment. With the talent they bring in each year, practices are known to be very competitive.
“My freshman year, I had to go against Evan Neal and Alex Leatherwood. The next class came in, and you got JC (Latham), I was going against some great guys. Every single one of them is in the league now and having great careers. You know, stuff like that you don’t take for granted. And I think that has helped me along my journey, so when I did get the opportunity to play, it wasn’t new to me. I wasn’t nervous because I already played the best."
Robinson saw most of his collegiate career on special teams before moving into more of a defensive role. With him having a great final year, some may have forgotten how much of a contributor he was on special teams.
However, he did not forget his special teams moments, and he even praised how important special teams is. Additionally, he wouldn't mind playing a role on special teams in the National Football League should the opportunity present itself. "1000% I love special teams. I feel like special teams is the most important thing in football right now. I can’t count how many times teams have won or lost games because of special teams. My favorite special teams player is KaVontae Turpin. You got to think about how many times he changed the game by scoring. If someone needs someone to stop him, I’m your guy,” said Robinson.
Robinson saw his season end prematurely with an elbow injury against LSU. Since, there hasn't been much provided in terms of his recovery process and if he would be ready by the Combine and Pro Day. According to Robinson, his elbow is fine. Should Robinson participate in on-field drills Thursday evening, stay updated through Tide 100.9.
