SEC Football Picks For Oct. 7
Mississippi State vs. Western Michigan
This is not a great State team by any means, but the 'Dogs will shake off the sting of yet another loss to Alabama with a big 35-7 home win. More cowbell, indeed.

Florida vs. Vanderbilt
The Gators are an enigma. Great at home, bad on the road. Possum play dead bad on the road. Vandy travels TO Gainesville and it will be ugly as tthe Gator slam the 'Dores, 38-13.
Ole Miss vs. Arkansas
Mediocre talent and less than average coaching describe the 2023 Razorbacks, and even though the Johny Rebs are coming off a huge win over LSU, the Lane train will keep on rolling down the Oxford tracks with a 42-14 dubya.
LSU vs. Missouri
Como, which stands for Columbia, Mo will be all the rage this week in as two Tigers tangle. LSU fans are in a tizzy after last week's defensive debacle in Oxford, but talent wins out over home field in this one. LSU wins, 35-24.
Georgia vs. Kentucky
Kentucky is unbeaten under Mark Stoops at 5-0 and only one win away from bowl swag eligibility. Georgia escaped a scare in Jordan-Hare and while the Dogs sometimes start slow, they seem to finish strong under Kirby Smart. Georgia wins this one, 28'17.
Alabama vs. Texas A&M
The winner in College Station will sit comfortably in the SEC West driver's seat in the final year of division play. Which Aggie team will show up? Which Bama team will take the field? Can the Crimson Tide make Jimbo Fisher look like Mario Cristobal and Miami did? Look for the Bama kicking game led by field position expert James Burnip and uncannily accurate Will Reichard to be the difference makers. It's Bama in a close one, 31-28, perhaps with a late Reichard field goal. Take your blood pressure meds, Bama nation.
