Three Tide Players Sign Undrafted Free Agent Contracts

With the 2025 NFL draft in the rearview mirror, the Crimson Tide had seven players drafted in the seven-round draft that took place last weekend in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Four former Alabama stars went undrafted, but that doesn't mean they won't get to live out their dreams of playing in the NFL. Three of the Tide's former stars have signed undrafted free agent deals with multiple NFL teams.

After transferring to Tuscaloosa from Maryland, CJ Dippre, Alabama's starting tight end for the last two seasons, signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New England Patriots.

Alabama's four-year long snapper, Kneeland Hibbett, is joining two other former Crimson Tide stars in Miami after signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Dolphins.

Alabama's weapon of a punter, James Burnip, went undrafted, but was able to sign a contract not too far from Tuscaloosa. The Tide's four-year starter as a punter signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Only one member of Alabama's 2025 NFL draft class is still awaiting a phone call from the NFL: kicker Graham Nicholson. Nicholson transferred to Alabama from Miami (Ohio) ahead of the 2024 college football season. In one season with the Crimson Tide, Nicholson went 8-for-10 on field goals, with his two misses coming from 46 yards and 54 yards. Nicholson was a perfect 53-53 on extra points for the Tide last season.
