New Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian made his first public comments on his decision since the news broke on Tuesday morning.

The former Alabama offensive analyst turned offensive coordinator sent this tweet out thanking the Falcons organization and explaining that it was hard to leave Tuscaloosa.

This was the first original tweet from Sarkisian's account since October 14, 2015. That's the day after he was fired from Southern Cal.

Sarkisian will finish his short career at Alabama with an 0-1 record as the offensive coordinator. The only game he coached in was the national championship against Clemson.
