Alabama football is my college football team, and the Cowboys are my pro team (my uncle played for them) on Saturdays and Sundays. I believe as a die-hard fan that you must have some PERSPECTIVE.
They claim to be a group of students, faculty and friends that are trying to make the University of Alabama campus "more inclusive". You see, the line "You're DIXIE'S football pride" is the line that is so racist and problematic.
A microphone is stuck in Coach Nick Saban's face and he jumps down the reporters throat. He even apologized once after being rough on a reporter in a postgame interview during the early days of Tua Tagovailoa, if I remember correctly. Now, Sports Illustrated has posted a piece on the postgame interview with Jenny Dell from CBS.
They hate us because they ain't us? Is that the issue here, because, this is getting stupid. Now, people are coming after our cheerleaders, and trying to "embarrass" them.
The television ratings for Alabama/Texas are now out and it appears Alabama is still big enough to bring in a national audience. Yes, it was a good matchup and a good game that went down to the wire. The early game drew 10.6 million viewers, with nearly 15 million at it's peak, making it the most watched game of the season.
Is Alabama Coach Nick Saban underpaid? The G.O.A.T recently signed a new contract extension worth $93.6 million in August. The new agreement would keep Coach Saban in Tuscaloosa through 2030, if he fulfills the entire deal.
Athletic Director for Alabama, Greg Byrne (fresh off his new contract), spoke out about a topic that he rarely gets into publically. Byrne discussed Coach Nick Saban's new contract extension, beer at Bryant-Denny stadium and the plan to replace Coach Saban one day.
Nick Saban strikes me as a guy that can use words to slice and dice anyone that gets on his bad side. Just listen to a postgame presser with media any Saturday afternoon.
HOWEVER, AUBURN IS RATED MUCH HIGHER THAN TUSCALOOSA West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Florida State all rated much higher is one I can't really argue. I haven't been to every college city in the USA. But, I have been to Auburn.and it is laughable to put them on Tier 3, with Tuscaloosa on Tier 5. Which is one of the lowest tiers.
