Florida high school powerhouse IMG Academy is taking on Edgewater High School tonight at home. IMG has two Crimson Tide 2021 commits, JC Latham and Jacorey Brooks. Crimson Tide commit Christian Leary took the field for Edgewater but rather than play his traditional position of wide receiver, he played quarterback. Brooks hauled in a touchdown pass and another longer pass to set up the third Acenders score this evening from quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
Alabama wide receiver commit Jacorey Brooks received a fifth-star today by 247Sports. The 6-foot-3 receiver out of Booker T. Washington High School in Miami was elevated to the second overall wide receiver in the 2021 class and moved up to the 27th overall prospect in the nation. Brooks moved up one spot in the receiver rankings and 10 spots overall.
