Here are the five Saban players who have heard their names called near the very top of the NFL Draft.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide stand-out, Andre Smith, has decided to sit out of his 2020 season with the Baltimore Ravens according to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport.

This week, Alabama had six players named to the watchlists for the Outland and the Bronko Nagurski Awards by the Football Writers Association of America. LaBryan Ray, who is mentioned in both lists, is joined by Patrick Surtain II and Dylan Moses on the Nagurski Trophy watchlist, while Deonte Brown, Landon Dickerson, and Alex Leatherwood are mentioned on the Outland Trophy watchlist.

Alabama's successful awards season continued on Thursday night at the College Football Awards show when offensive tackle Cam Robinson was named the 2016 Outland Trophy winner.
