Alabama Adds Four-Star Tight End to 2026 Recruiting Class
Alabama continues to pick up major steam on the recruiting trail, adding another four-star commitment.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, four-star tight end Mack Sutter has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Sutter chose the Crimson Tide over the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Ole Miss Rebels. He is Alabama's second commitment of the day, joining five-star running back Ezavier Crowell.
Alabama tight ends coach Bryan Ellis led the way for Sutter. Ellis is in his second year with the program and helped Alabama land four stars Marshall Pritchett and Kaleb Edwards in the previous recruiting cycle.
Sutter's recruitment came down to the wire, with official visits playing a crucial role in his decision to commit to Alabama. Sutter concluded his official visit season with a trip to Columbus, Ohio, on May 30 and a trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on June 20. His official visit to Alabama was the fourth time he was on campus.
Sutter, a 6-foot-5.5, 225-pound tight end from Dunlap High School in Dunlap, Illinois, is ranked as the No. 99 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 6 tight end.
As a junior in 2024, Sutter caught 35 passes for 505 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 14.4 yards per catch. He played all over the offense for Dunlap, completing six passes for 119 yards and one interception, while also rushing four times for 21 yards. He has experience on the defensive side of the ball as well, finishing his junior campaign with 36 tackles, eight tackles for loss, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pick-six.
Sutter's commitment now gives the Crimson Tide the No. 21-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247 Sports. Alabama does so with just 11 commitments in the 2026 class thus far, the second-fewest of any team inside the top 25.
