Texas A&M Reporter Discusses Jimbo Fisher at SEC Media Days
Former Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher decided to leave the ACC conference only dominated by a couple of teams for a conference that's primary basis is survival of the fittest with Alabama coming out of the dog pile in the end.
Not only did Fisher make the transition to one of the competitive conference in college football by joining Texas A&M, but one of the toughest division within the conference, the SEC West, with his former boss Nick Saban leading the way.
During SEC Media Days in Atlanta, the new Aggies coaches discussed competing in the SEC West and being a new coach in the conference, the pressure of finding his way in a very difficult division.
"I mean that's where I grew up in. I was at Auburn for six and LSU for seven," Fisher said. "I mean, every week is for the national championship because the teams you play have the capabilities of being there. And whoever can survive that gauntlet of games and come out of there, you know is going to compete. And whoever wins the SEC has a chance to win the national championship."
Billy Liucci of TexsAgs.com joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to preview the Aggies upcoming season and discuss Fisher's transition in the SEC, is this the biggest hire in the conference, and could Fisher prepare this team to beat the Crimson Tide.
