Deontay Wilder made his long awaited return to the ring in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center on Saturday night. The Bronze Bomber shined with a first round knockout of Robert Helenius. The knockout came with only eight seconds left in the first round as Wilder landed a swift right hand counter punch.

Wilder was able to remind the world that it only takes one punch for him to secure a win. Wilder set a new record by winning a boxing match while only landing three punches. He was only able to land those three punches out of the 17 punches thrown.

This is Wilder’s first knockout since November of 2019. It is his 42nd knockout in 43 career victories. Wilder is making his return to the ring after taking a year off following his back to back crushing losses to Unified World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury.

Wilder is eager to find his next opponent as he mentions multiple heavyweights post fight. Although his next opponent may be already determined.

"I'm down for whatever. Whether it's Andy Ruiz or Oleksandr Usyk. Deontay Wilder is back, the excitement in the heavyweight division is back."

The Bronze Bomber moves to 43 - 2 -1 and will seek to return to the top of the heavyweight mountain that he reigned king over for 5 years. Oleksander Usyk current holds three championship belts while Tyson Fury holds the belt that he won from Wilder.
