In 2014 the college football world will undergo a revolution with the implementation of the college playoff-if they can find a selection committee first.

While everything from location to naming right has fallen into place, the selection committee has taken a bit longer to assemble as many have expressed their desire to avoid the club with collegiate athletics’ biggest burden. However, one man has been vocal in his willingness to join the committee.

In recent weeks, media members such as Tony Barnhart and Bruce Feldman have said they would turn down an opportunity if presented, but on Tuesday night College Football News’ Pete Fiutak said he would not only accept the challenge, but he has actually lobbied for a spot on the committee.

"Listen? I begged him (BCS Executive Director Bill Hancock). I did an interview with him a few weeks ago and I was like 'you can't see me, but I am literally on my knees right now begging.' I'm always shocked by the people who don't want to be on the committee and don’t want the pressure. I absolutely want the pressure-I absolutely want to be on this committee. I will lobby and politic whoever wants to put me on this committee."
