“The Process Fuels The Results.” Eryk Anders UFC Update
Thursday night on Tidal Talk James Ludeman, Tommy Paradise and Joe Gaither had the opportunity to speak with former Alabama National Champion and current UFC Light-Heavyweight fighter Eryk Anders.
Anders is coming off of a no-contest decision in his previous fight after an illegal knee to opponent Darren Stewart. Anders is preparing to fight again at UFC 263 in June and spoke on how his training is going.
"I try to eat right is the main thing." Anders said. "This fight is going to be in a different weight class, so there is a process like Nick Saban says. It is a little easier this time, but I have to stay away from the pizza and beer and try to eat well and let me body do what it does."
Anders had a little fun on the show when comparing a head kick knockout against Tim Williams, to a strip sack in the National Championship back in 2009 against the Texas Longhorns.
"They gave me an extra $50,000 dollars for the knockout, so the knockout is harder to forget for me." Anders said. "Whenever I made that play against Texas I was reminded that this was my last game for Alabama, so it was more special to me and I would put that above the knockout."
Anders will look to get back to his winning ways on June 12th in Glendale, Arizona for UFC 263. You can listen to the interview with Eryk Anders in its entirety down below! Tidal Talk airs every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tide 100.9.
