Top Offensive Tackle Narrows Down Schools to Two
Class of 2023, five-star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor has narrowed down his schools to two- Alabama and Iowa.
"I feel like the University of Iowa and The University of Alabama are my top two picks for now, as I have been to both places multiple times and have loved every second of both," said Proctor. "For now, these two schools are where I will be making a decision off of."
The Iowa native made his official visit to the Capstone last Friday and received an offer from the Tide back in April of 2021.
During his visit to Tuscaloosa, Ala., he was spotted on Tyler Booker's Instagram story wearing an Alabama jersey with the caption "roll tide," and in a picture behind the Tide's pro jersey wall alongside fellow prospects Arch Manning, Richard Young, and Anthony Hill Jr.
The upcoming senior would be a big grab for the Tide as he ranks at No. 7 nationally, No. 1 in offensive tackles, and No. 1 in the state of Iowa for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports.
Hank South of 247Sports joined Tide 100.9's The Martin Houston Show on Thursday morning and said that Proctor and his family were impressed with the Crimson Tide.
"I think Bama kind of really made a statement with his visit, impressed he and his mom. I talked to his mom a little bit earlier this week and she said, one thing that really stood out to her, which is kind of a subtle thing, but she said before every meal everyone said a prayer, and she said that was a really big deal for her. So I think they really set themselves up nicely with Kadyn Proctor and he'll be back this fall for a game," said South.
Proctor's official visit to Iowa is set for June 24-26, 2022.
