Two Five-Stars Predicted to Sign With Alabama Following A-Day
The Crimson Tide had several top prospects on campus over the weekend for Alabama's annual A-Day, a 90-minute practice period open to the public. This weekend was a success for the Tide, with four-star Edge Kamhariyan Johnson committing and experts predicting that two five-star recruits from the 2026 class will sign with the Crimson Tide.

On3's Steve Wiltfong predicted on Monday that Alabama is the favorite to sign two in-state five-stars, wide receiver Cederian Morgan and runningback Ezavier Crowell.
Let's take a closer look at what these two prospects bring to the Tide's 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks seventh in the nation and third in the SEC, according to On3. The Tide has one five-star commit so far in the class, cornerback Jorden Edmonds, who committed to the Tide in March.
Ezavier Crowell
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 205 pounds Crowell is going into his Senior season at Jackson High School in Alabama where he forewent his junior year after reclassifying from the 2027 class where he was the No.7 overall prospect and the No.1 running back in the class, according to On3, since reclassifying Crowell now sits at the No.30 overall prospect, No.2 running back, and No.3 prospect out of the state of Alabama in the 2026 class according to On3 Industry Rankings.
Crowell helped lead Jackson to an AHSAA 4A State championship where they blew out Cherokee County 69-6 with Crowell starting off the game with a 67-yard touchdown run on only the second play of their first possession in the state championship game. The No.2 running back in the 2026 class finished the championship game with 140 rushing yards on 12 rushes to go along with his three rushing touchdowns.
Jackson's standout running back recently announced his commitment date of December 31st, with Alabama named one of his top six schools in March, along with Georgia, Florida State, Texas, Ohio State, and Auburn. Alabama, after his most recent visit, is in a good position to land the instate five-star.
The Tide has hosted Crowell eight times in his recruitment, with his ninth visit scheduled for June 20th, when he will make his first official visit to Tuscaloosa. Alabama has hosted the five-star running back the most times during his recruitment, with Auburn coming in second, hosting Crowell four times, including his fifth visit, which is also an Official Visit slated for June 13th, a week before his travel to the Alabama campus according to On3's Visiting Center.
Cederian Morgan
Morgan is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver entering his senior year at Benjamin Russell in Alexander City, Alabama, where the five-star prospect caught 70 catches for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior, according to Morgan's 247 Scouting profile.
Morgan, an Alexander City native, is an outstanding talent, with 247 Sports Composite ranking him as the No.3 wide receiver, No.19 overall prospect, and No.1 recruit from Alabama in the 2026 class.
Alabama hosted Morgan on his sixth visit to Tuscaloosa this past weekend, with the Tide hosting the five-star the most out of any school during his recruitment, with Auburn coming in second with five visits. Morgan will return to Tuscaloosa with Crowell for his seventh visit to Alabama's campus on June 20, where he will make his first official visit, according to On3's Visiting Center.
Kalen DeBoer and his staff are focusing on in-state recruiting, with the Tide failing to sign a single top-10 prospect in the state of Alabama despite bringing in a third-ranked class in 2025. It appears that Alabama's head coach wants this class to have more local talent, with the Tide already landing a commitment from cornerback Zyan Gibson, the fifth-ranked prospect out of Alabama in the 2026 class according to On3, with the Tide projected to land two of the top three players out of the state in this upcoming class.
