Originally from New Zealand, Routliffe graduated from the University in 2017 with a major in public relations.

She has since gone on to win the 2018 Hardee's Pro Classic, which put her in the top 200 in doubles rankings for the first time in her career.

Now, this Sunday, Routliffe has earned a Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open with her doubles partner, Gabriela Dabrowski.

Taking the Title

Routliffe and Dabrowski (No. 16 seeds) competed against Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva (No. 12 seeds) for the win.

The U.S. Open's website noted that this was the first major crown win for Routliffe and Dabrowski as a doubles team. "This is the first title," the site read, "in only their fourth tournament together."
