
Ty Simpson Earns Multiple Honors After Georgia Win
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson led the Crimson Tide to a massive win on Saturday, with Alabama upsetting Georgia 24-21 in Sanford Stadium, snapping the Bulldogs' 33-game win streak at home, dating back to October 2019.

Simpson was already named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday by the conference, throwing for 276 yards and two touchdowns while adding 12 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground in the win over Georgia.
He continues to earn honors from around the country after the Tide's win over the Bulldogs, being named the Panini Senior Bowl Player of the Week. On Monday, he was also selected as one of eight quarterbacks recognized as the Manning Award's Stars of the Week.
On Tuesday, he continued to pick up accolades, being recognized as the Maxwell Player of the Week and the Davey O'Brien National Player of the Week.
On Saturday night against Georgia, Ty Simpson completed passes to eight different receivers, averaging 11.5 yards per completion, and converted two critical third downs late in the fourth quarter to solidify the Crimson Tide's big win over the Georgia Bulldogs.
In total, Alabama finished with 397 total yards of offense and 25 first downs against a Georgia defense that ranked in the top third of college football defenses, and Alabama converted 13 of 19 third downs to keep the ball in the hands of the Alabama offense.
Alabama and Ty Simpson will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores this Saturday, October 4, at 2:30 p.m. CT.
