Alabama gymnast Lilly Hudson was honored by the Southeastern Conference this week for her performance in last Friday's meet against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Hudson made her Coleman Colesium and all-around debut a night to remember, scoring a total of 39.525 between the four events. She won on both the balance beam with a 9.925 and the floor exercise with a 9.950.

Hudson is ranked second in the all-around in the SEC and eighth nationally. This specific performance gave her the best performance by an SEC freshman gymnast this season and the third-highest total by a freshman in the nation.

She helped the Crimson Tide secure a 197.650- 196.275 over the Wildcats. Alabama's total was the highest by an SEC team in the past two weeks and the second-highest of the entire season. This score also ranked them fifth nationally.

Hudson's floor exercise total of 9.950 helped put the Tide on pace for its highest January floor total in program history. This rookie was a huge part of a historic night in many ways for the Crimson  Tide.
