Alabama's second pick off the board is defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne.

The junior was taken 13th overall by the Washington Redskins, giving that franchise a Crimson Tide defensive lineman for the second straight year in the NFL Draft. The Redskins drafted Jonathan Allen in the first round and followed it up with Ryan Anderson in the second round a year ago.

Da'Ron Payne, a product of Shades Valley High School in Birmingham, improved in each of his three seasons in Tuscaloosa as he became one of the top defensive line prospects in the country. He capped off a strong career by earning defensive MVP honors in both the College Football Playoff semifinal and championship games this year. Payne also earned First Team All-SEC honors and Second Team All-American accolades.

Alabama's first draft pick of the night was defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, who went 11th overall to the Miami Dolphins. That extended Alabama's streak to 10 straight years with a first round draft pick.
