The series opener against Kentucky set for Friday, May 3, has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, May 4, with first pitch slated for Noon at Rhoads Stadium.

Alabama will enter the series looking to avenge its first series sweep since 2011, as they fell to LSU this past weekend in Baton Rouge. Although the Tide suffered three, 1-run losses, there were plenty of bright sports for Alabama as Sophomore Danielle Richard hit .800 (4-for-5) with a home run and two RBI while senior Kayla Braud batted .600 (6-for-10) with two runs.

Alabama (40-10, 12-9 SEC) will be playing its final regular season series on the year as Kentucky (36-16, 11-10 SEC) travels to Tuscaloosa for a three-game set. Game two of the series will follow game one on Saturday and the series finale is set for Sunday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m.

Chad Haynie will be on the call as you can hear every pitch on your flagship station for Alabama Softball, 99.1 WDGM, 991wdgm.com and the Radio Pup application available for Androids and Iphones.
