Alabama gets started with spring practice on Friday, and while it will be a chance for head coach Nick Saban and his coaching staff to get their first look at evaluating next year's squad, it will also be the first impression that the eight early enrollees will get an opportunity to make.

    Blake Barnett

    Quarterback

Arguably the most high profile of the class, Barnett was the top quarterback prospect in this class. He is heading into a quarterback competition that isn't particularly ideal for a freshman, but he'll get his shot at taking significant snaps during the 2015 season. With the departure of last year's starter Blake Sims, he'll be competing against the likes of David Cornwell, Cooper Bateman, Alec Morris, and Florida State transfer Jake Coker. Barnett seems to have all the physical tools to play the position, but is a freshman ready to step in as the starting quarterback at the University of Alabama?

    DeSherrius Flowers

    Running Back

Hailing from Vigor High School in Mobile, AL, Flowers is an all-purpose type of running back. At 6'0" and 204 lbs, he isn't the biggest back on Alabama's roster, but what he lacks in bulk is what he possesses in skill. With guys ahead of him on the "depth chart" such as Derrick Henry, Kenyon Drake, and Tyren Jones (and not to mention his classmate Bo Scarborough), Flowers may struggle to see much playing time this year, but Nick Saban and company may attempt to use this year as a molding type of season, to fine tune his skills to possibly be the premier back in Alabama's offense one day.

    Ronnie Harrison

    Defensive Back

All-everything safety Landon Collins is about to get drafted into the NFL, and with no legitimate experienced safety on the roster other than Jabriel Washington that can fill Collins's shoes, Bama will have to look to a young pup; and that young pup could be Harrison. He stands a couple inches taller than Collins, right at 6'3", and was an absolute ball hawk coming out of high school. His combination of size and raw skill could allow him to practice with the first stringers this spring. Not only that, but keep an eye on Harrison on special teams, as Saban likes to play some freshman safeties on that unit, and if he's anything like Collins on special teams, Alabama won't have any worries about the safety position for the next few years.

    Brandon Kennedy

    Offensive Lineman

The 19th ranked offensive guard in the 2015 class according to 247 Sports, Kennedy is a big body, but possesses deceptive agility as well. At 6'2.5" and 295 lbs, he has the right build to put on a few more pounds to sure up a spot on a collegiate offensive line, but his quickness and speed are rare for a young man his size. In high school, he ran a 4.91 second 40 yard dash, definitely a rarity for an offensive lineman at the high school and college level. Should he sure up both pass protection and his run blocking skills, with a full year of learning under his belt, look for Kennedy to be a staple in the offensive line for the Tide over the next two or three years.

    Bo Scarbrough

    Running Back

Scarbrough was one of the most sought after recruits in the 2014 class, and after committing to the Tide, he was unable to enroll because of academic issues. He now has that straightened out, and has the ability to be productive in his first eligible season for Alabama. Lane Kiffin should find no problems getting Scarbrough the ball, as he can line up both in the backfield and at receiver.

    Jonathan Taylor

    Defensive Lineman

With the previous arrest of Taylor while at the University of Georgia still looming over him, both Nick Saban and Taylor will be watched under a microscope this season. It was a controversial topic of discussion when Nick Saban brought him in, but he has said repeatedly that Taylor deserves another chance. One thing that is for sure, however, is that Taylor can be a beast on the field. At 6'4" and 335 lbs, Taylor can absolutely move for a big man. He will be the most polished player out of all the early enrollees, so don't be surprised to see him on the field from snap number one against the Wisconsin Badgers.

    Deionte Thompson

    Defensive Back

Thompson is the addition that Nick Saban and Kirby Smart were looking for when trying to replace All-American Landon Collins. While just a freshman, Thompson is already prepared physically to play in the SEC. According to 247 Sports, he was the second rated safety in this year's class, and like with most other freshman safeties in Nick Saban's system, look for Thompson to make an immediate impact with the special teams unit.

    Dallas Warmack

    Offensive Lineman

All Alabama fans know the name "Warmack" from stud offensive lineman Chance Warmack, but his "little" brother is a good football player too. He was the number 12 offensive guard prospect in the 2015 class, and will add some much needed depth to Alabama's interior offensive line during his first year at The Capstone. Don't expect him to play much except in mop up duties, but given his size, skill, and pedigree, Warmack will be a starter before his time is up in Tuscaloosa.
