When Worlds Collide: Braves WS Trophy Makes Its Way to Bama
With Tuscaloosa in the heart of Atlanta Braves country, the Braves made the move to add The Joe to the list of places it would be taking its World Champions Trophy tour.
On April 1st, Braves and Bama baseball fans alike will have the opportunity to take a photo with the 2021 Commissioner's trophy at Sewell Thomas Stadium. It will be set up from 5-8 p.m. CST at the Tide's game against the Texas A&M Aggies.
According to the Braves Trophy Tour promotion page, The Joe will be one of 151 stops the trophy will be making across the southeast.
Other notable Alabama stops are the Logan Hall Lawn at Tuskegee University on March 28th, an Auburn University baseball game on March 29th, a Troy University baseball game on March 30th, a UAB baseball game on April 2nd, and a stop at the Birmingham Crossplex on April 3rd.
The Braves made the announcement they would be adding Tuscaloosa along with 29 other locations to the list of stops on March 3rd.
The trophy will be going throughout Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Florida, and Mississippi from March until the beginning of August.
So Bama fans, mark your calendars and get your tickets if you were also cheering on that Braves World Series run and get your picture taken with the silver and gold trophy on April Fools.
