The sophomore guard transferred to Gulf Coast State from North Carolina after just one season with the Tarheels. Daniel entered her name in the transfer portal last spring and joined the Gulf Coast State Lady Commodores this season. ESPN rated Daniel as a three-star prospect before she committed to North Carolina.

Daniel is one of many transfers the Tide picked up this week including, freshman Khyla Wade-Warren from Texas Tech and Jamya Mingo-Young from Mississippi State. According to ESPN, Alabama's recruiting class includes top 100 commit forward Kayla Blackshear from Lake Highland Prep in Florida.

The women's basketball team is coming off its first trip to the NCAA March Madness Tournament since March 1999. The Tide will lose several key players, including Jasmine Walker, who declared for the WNBA draft earlier this week. Daniel will be one of the incoming players expected to step up for the team next season.
