Alabama Announces Tip-Off Times for Gonzaga, Houston
The Alabama men's basketball team has announced the tip-off times for the matchups against Gonzaga and Houston this upcoming season.
The Crimson Tide is set to take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the C.M Newton Classic on December 17, 2022. The game will take place in Birmingham, Ala., and will air on CBS. Tip-off is set for noon CT.
The Tide and the Bulldogs have only faced off one time in history. The only previous matchup came last year when the Tide took down No. 3 Gonzaga in a 91-82 thriller. Former guards Jaden Shackleford and J.D. Davison led the way for Alabama, dropping 28 and 20 respectively. The Tide looks to do the same this December.
Alabama has also announced the tip-off time for round two against the Houston Cougars. They will battle it out at Houston's Fertitta Center and the game will air on CBS at 2 pm CT.
The Tide also played the Cougars last year, taking home the victory in a drama-filled 83-82 thriller at Coleman Coliseum. The now Nebraska Cornhusker Juwan Gary led the Tide in points with 19, J.D Davison in rebounds with nine, and Jahvon Quinerly in assists with eight. The current Boston Celtic J.D. Davison sealed the game away with an electric block at the end.
As the Tide looks to rebound from a rough 2021-22 season, these two games will be key factors on the level of success Alabama will achieve this season.
