Crimson Tide Secures Sixth Transfer Portal Commit with Addition of Fourth Pitcher for 2027 Season
Alabama baseball continued its success on the recruiting trail Tuesday, as the Crimson Tide landed its fourth pitcher from the transfer portal. Noah Allen, a right-handed pitcher from Ole Miss, announced on his Instagram account that he would be coming to the Capstone.

Allen spent one season in Oxford, where the 6-foot-7, 205-pound pitcher made eight appearances on the mound for the Rebels, all out of the bullpen. He finished his freshman season with a 1-0 record, a 2.89 ERA, and struck out 12 batters while walking only two in 9.1 total innings, holding hitters to a .200 batting average.
Allen will have three years of eligibility remaining, making this a terrific pickup for Alabama’s pitching coach, Jason Jackson. Since the Tide was eliminated from the College World Series on June 15th, Jackson has been aggressive in recruiting to replace significant contributors (Tyler Fay and Zane Adams) who are leaving the program.
The former Rebels reliever is poised to make a major impact for the Crimson Tide as early as 2027, joining an impressive bullpen featuring Matthew Heiberger, Ashton Crowther, Sam Mitchell, and Kaden Humphry, all of whom are returning next season. With this talented group back in the fold, Alabama’s pitching staff should be firmly in the upper tier of the conference.
Alabama now has six transfer commits: four pitchers and two position players, with two of the additions coming from SEC schools. See below for a full list of Alabama’s transfer commits.
