Alabama Basketball Releases Full 2014-15 Schedule

Alabama will play home-and-home games against Auburn, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, as the Southeastern Conference unveiled the 2015 men's basketball composite league schedule on Friday.

The Crimson Tide will have 18 games on its league slate in addition to the non-conference schedule, which was released in early August.

The Tide, which closes its non-conference slate with four consecutive home games, will open the league slate at Coleman Coliseum when it hosts Texas A&M on Jan. 7 on the SEC Network. It will be the first time an Alabama team has played five consecutive home games since playing eight consecutive home games during the 2008-09 campaign.

Following that game, Bama will begin its SEC road schedule with a back-to-back away games when it travels to Tennessee on Jan. 10 (SEC Network), following by a contest at South Carolina on Jan. 14 (SEC Network).

The Tide will then play three of its next four games at Coleman Coliseum – a stretch that includes home games against Kentucky on Jan. 17 (ESPN/ESPN2), Auburn on Jan. 24 (SEC Network) and Florida on Jan. 27 (ESPN). Other home conference games include Missouri (Feb. 4, SEC Network), Vanderbilt (Feb. 14, ESPNU), Georgia (Feb. 21, ESPN/ESPN2), South Carolina (Feb. 24, SEC Network) and Ole Miss (March 4, SEC Network).

Alabama’s road schedule includes contests at Arkansas (Jan. 22, ESPN/ESPN2), Kentucky (Jan. 31, SEC Network), LSU (Feb. 7, ESPN/ESPN2), Mississippi State (Feb. 10, SEC Network), Auburn (Feb. 17, ESPNU), Vanderbilt (Feb. 28, FSN) and Texas A&M (March 7, FSN).

The 2015 SEC Basketball Tournament will be held March 11-15 in Nashville, Tenn. The SEC Network will televise the first three days of the event, while the semifinals and championship game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Each of the 126 games will be available to be seen from anywhere in the nation. ESPN or ESPN2 will televise 31 contests, ESPNU 18 and CBS Sports six. The SEC’s games on ESPN platforms are exclusively branded as the “SEC on ESPN.” Additionally, The SEC Network will televise 58 intra-conference games while Fox Sports Net will show 13 contests.
