Alabama Earns Visit From SEC Forward
Alabama has already started the Crimson Tide's hunt in the transfer portal after a loss in the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament. Several top transfer portal targets are already visiting or have visits scheduled to Tuscaloosa to see Alabama head coach Nate Oats.

One transfer portal target already has experience in the SEC in LSU transfer forward Corey Chest, who is set to arrive in Tuscaloosa on Monday, according to On3 Sports' Joe Tipton.
While LSU struggled in the SEC with a 14-18 record overall and finishing 15th in a 16-team conference, Chest had a strong season, starting 19 games and appearing in 26 for the Tigers.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pound freshman from New Orleans averaged 6.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 0.7 assists for LSU in the 2024-2025 college basketball season. He scored at an impressive percentage, 60.7 percent, from the field. He also averaged 1.2 blocks per game for the Tigers.
In an 80-73 loss to Alabama on January 25, Chest had arguably the best game of his career, scoring 12 points and collecting 18 rebounds against the Tide to go along with three blocks and two steals.
Alabama is searching for length in the transfer portal, and that is evident by the attention the Tide is placing on Chest, Bucknell transfer Noah Williamson, and Monmouth transfer Abdi Bashir Jr.
