Alabama landed back in Tuscaloosa on Sunday following an early exit from the NCAA tournament in the Elite Eight. With the loss, Alabama head coach Nate Oats and de-facto general manager Preston Murphy are already bringing in top transfers for visits to the Capstone.

When the Tide landed in Tuscaloosa, waiting on head coach Nate Oats was seven-foot bucknell transfer Noah Williamson. Williamson, a seven-foot, 250-pound transfer center from Bucknell, averaged 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for the Bison in the 2024-2025 college basketball season.

He shot 53.8 percent from the floor, but the big man can be a sharpshooter on the three-point line too, shooting 31.8 percent from three as a junior.

Alabama is looking for another post presence in the transfer portal after Clifford Omoruyi exhausted his eligibility following the 2024-2025 college basketball season. If Alabama lands Williamson, he won't be the only big man on the roster. Freshman Aiden Sherrell told reporters after Alabama's loss to Duke that he plans to return to Alabama next season.

As a true freshman, Sherrell, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward, averaged 3.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game for the Tide. He only averaged 8.8 minutes per game but shot 51.1 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three-point range for the Tide as a freshman.

While it is still early in Williamson's recruiting cycle, the Tide feels confident in its chances to land the Bucknell transfer.
