As we countdown the days to Alabama's season opener against Middle Tennessee State, which is 90 days away, we highlight an Alabama legend who wore the number corresponding with the day. Today we recognize current Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed.

Reed, a Goldsboro, N.C., native, led East Mississippi C.C. to an NJCAA national title in 2013 before transferring to Alabama for the 2014 season.

During his first season at the Capstone, Reed played in all 14 games, starting in 13. Following his junior season, Reed opted to stay in college for his senior campaign.

The decision paid off for Reed, as he started in all 15 games, helping lead the Tide to a national championship.

The Seattle Seahawks selected Reed with the 49th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

Reed played in Seattle for five seasons before being released. Reed spent two one-year stints with Kansas City and Green Bay before returning to Seattle for the 2023 season.
