TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama Baseball's offseason stays rolling as they pick up their first position player out of the transfer portal in former Purdue Fort-Wayne utility man Justin Osterhouse, Saturday afternoon.

Purdue Fort-Wayne announced in May that it would immediately disband its baseball and softball programs.

Osterhouse made his commitment official on Twitter, writing "Roll tide 🐘 #committed".

During his two seasons in Fort Wayne, Ind., the former Mastodon posted a .339 batting average with 18 doubles, 25 home runs, and 84 RBIs with 24 stolen bases in 90 total appearances. Osterhouse made starts all over the diamond at Purdue Fort-Wayne, both in the infield and outfield.

In Purdue Fort-Wayne's May 15 contest against Wright State, who played in the Nashville Regional of the NCAA tournament, Osterhouse belted four home runs, including a walk-off grand slam, while also earning credit for the win on the mound in the Mastodons' 21-17 win over the Raiders.

Osterhouse will be tabbed to help replace the production of Crimson Tide infielders Brennen Norton, Garrett Staton, and Will Hodo, all of whom ran out of eligibility following the end of the 2025 season.

Osterhouse has two years of eligibility remaining. He joins Matthew Tippie and Kaden Humphrey as Alabama's three transfer additions thus far.
