Alabama Lands Northridge Jaguars Punter
Anderson Green, 5-star and Northridge Jaguars punter, announced his commitment to Alabama early Wednesday evening. Green made the announcement via Twitter.
Green is the No. 25 punter in the nation and the best in the state, per Kohls Kicking.
Green will reunite with former Jaguar teammate, and Alabama tackle Wilkin Formby.
The Tuscaloosa native is part of another late-summer Nick Saban recruiting push, becoming the Tide's sixth commit during July. Green joins another loaded Alabama recruiting class, joining players such as Julian Sayin and Jaylen Mbakwe.
Green also visited other SEC schools, such as Auburn, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.
"Green had a dominant performance in the punt competition at the Underclassman Challenge in January of 2023. He won the 2nd competition held at camp! At the 2022 Kohl's Southern Winter Showcase he showed excellent leg strength and command of his drop throughout the event and had one of the more dominating performances of the showcase tour. He charted several 45+ yard punts at camp including a big ball of 53 yards with 4.6 seconds of hang time." wrote Kohls Kicking.
