The Alabama men's golf team followed their female counterparts' lead by starting the Spring schedule off with a win in Puerto Rico.

The third-ranked Crimson Tide entered the final round in a tie for first with Oklahoma, but put together four under-par rounds en route to a 14-under final round total and a seven stroke win. Junior Cory Whitsett finished with seven birdies and one bogey, good for a 66 and the team's lowest round of the tournament.

Whitsett's 10-under tournament total placed him in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard. North Carolina State's Albin Choi took home the individual title with a score of 12-under. All five of Alabama's players finished in the top 16 individually.

The team will have a couple weeks off before returning to action in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 8-10.
