The Alabama Nursing Home Association has placed statewide visitation restrictions in place to protect its patients and staff in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.

All visitors and non-essential staff are prohibited from entry except in certain hospice situations. All communal dining activities at nursing homes have been canceled as well.

The Alabama Nursing Home Association is placing these restrictions in an abundance of caution, as the novel corona virus is especially fatal in vulnerable and elderly populations.
