The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up its third win over a ranked opponent on Saturday, taking down the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Missouri, 27-24. Ty Simpson threw three passing touchdowns, one to Miami transfer receiver Isaiah Horton and two to Alabama running backs, and freshman cornerback Dijon Lee called game for the Crimson Tide with his late interception on Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula.

Missouri, which was ranked No. 14 at the time, was unable to establish a strong run game, something they had done all season, as Alabama held the nation's leading rusher, Ahmad Hardy, to just 52 yards on the ground and no scores.

The win gave Alabama its third win over a ranked opponent this season, and with it, the Crimson Tide now sits at its highest ranking in the polls this season.
