Bryce Young put up prolific numbers in his first season under center. He broke the school record for passing yards (4,872) and touchdowns (47) in a single season. In a game against Arkansas, Young completed 31-of-40 passes for 559 yards and five touchdowns, breaking a 52-year-old school record for most passing yards in a single game.

He shredded a Georgia defense for 421 passing yards and 461 yards of total offense in the SEC Championship Game, both were title game records. Young threw for 300 yards in ten games and completed 90-percent of his passes in two games.

The Alabama signal-caller was named college football's Player of the Year by the Associated Press and The Sporting News. He also brought home the Maxwell, Davey O’Brien, and Manning Awards.

Behind Young is Jalen Milroe, a former top-100 recruit in the 2021 recruiting class. Milroe shined in the Alabama spring game, connecting with Christian Leary for a 52-yard touchdown. He flashed his ability to be a dual-threat quarterback in the Crimson Tide offense. The Katy, TX native is sculpted like a linebacker and after a strong spring period, Milroe has the Alabama faithful buzzing about his potential.

Ty Simpson was 247Sport’s No. 3 pocket passer and No. 26 overall recruit in the 2022 recruiting class. The five-star recruit will continue competing with Milroe in fall camp for the backup role.

The Crimson Tide enters the 2022 season in great shape at the quarterback position and bright future moving forward.
