The Alabama softball team will compete in the Mardi Gras Mambo at the Youngsville Sports Complex in Youngsville, Louisiana from February 25-27. The No. 2 Crimson Tide will play five games in the tournament: Nicholls, Southeastern Louisiana, Northwestern State, Louisiana Tech, and No. 20 Louisiana.

Team 26 is coming into Louisiana with an impressive 9-0 record, with three of those wins being over top-10 teams and winning five games by run rule. This will be the third straight weekend that the Crimson Tide has competed in a tournament.

The tournament is hosting 10 teams, including five from Louisiana and five from outside the state, in matchups that will only feature in-state teams versus out-of-state teams.  Alabama and Louisiana are the only two ranked teams in the tournament, as well as it being both teams first time competing in it.
