The Alabama baseball team defeated the Auburn Tigers 4-2 on Saturday night to even up the Iron Bowl of Baseball.

Tuscaloosa native and left-handed pitcher Garrett McMillan started on the mound for the Crimson Tide. He pitched 5.0 innings, recording one hit, no runs, no earned runs, no walks, a hit by pitch, and four strikeouts.

Alabama got on the board first, scoring three runs off the bats of center fielder Andrew Pinckney and catcher Mac Guscette. Pinckney drew a bases-loaded walk, brining in a run and Guscette hit a two-RBI double in the second inning.

The Crimson Tide extended its lead in the fourth inning. Second baseman Ed Johnson drew a bases-loaded walk to bring a run home and extend Alabama's lead to four.

Right-handed pitcher Zane Probst came in for relief in the fifth inning. He pitched 1.1 innings, recording one hit, one run, and one earned run.

Right-handed pitcher Hunter Furtado came in for relief in the sixth inning. He pitched 1.2 innings, recording three hits, one run, one earned run, and one strikeout.

The Tigers got on the board in the seventh inning, scoring one run off the bat of left fielder Bobby Peirce, who hit a home run to left field.

Auburn tacked one more run onto the board in the ninth inning, scorning off the bat of shortstop Cole Foster, who hit an RBI single.

Left-handed pitcher Alton Davis II came in to close the game in the ninth inning. He pitched 1.0 inning, recording one hit, one walk, and one strikeout. He earned the save.

The Tide is now 25-11 on the season and 5-9 in conference play.
