Alabama’s Bailey Dowling is Looking to Get Back in the Lineup
Late in the season last year Alabama softball lost one of the team's best hitters due to Bailey Dowling's season-ending injury. During the SEC series against Tennesee, shortstop Bailey Dowling tore her ACL and MCL after colliding with a baserunner.
Dowling is an upcoming star looking to replace senior Bailey Hemphill. After months of recovery Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy says that she is "100 percent, doing really well, crushing the ball."

Although only 25 games were played she finished third in home runs. She will be a key player in next year's hopeful title run. Alabama is currently the second-ranked team in their preseason poll and is looking to start off with a win in their first game on February 11.
Murphey discussed this year's lineup being a giant puzzle and Dowling's bat figures to be a key piece to the Crimson Tide's championship picture.
