After winning a battle down in Lexington, Kentucky, this past weekend, the Crimson Tide stayed in the top 5 for another week. The Crimson Tide are 15-3 overall and 4-1 in the SEC. Alabama are looking to continue their great play as they head deeper into SEC play and more down the stretch of the season.

The Crimson Tide defeated the Kentucky Wildcats (14-4, 3-2 SEC) this past weekend 102 to 97. A back-and-forth matchup was on display as both teams fought to the very end. The Crimson Tide received much-needed production from several players after a disappointing loss to Ole Miss earlier in the month of January. Grant Nelson led all in scoring with 25 points and rebounds (11). Mark Sears (24), Clifford Omoruyi (12), Labaron Philon (15), and Chris Youngblood (10) were in double-digit points this game.

Alabama outplayed the Wildcats in several aspects of the game. The Crimson Tide outrebounded Kentucky (42-38), tied in assists (20-20), a better free throw percentage (85% to 80%), and more points off turnovers (12-11).

The Crimson Tide's next game will come Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. when Alabama hosts Vanderbilt inside Coleman Coliseum. This game will air on SEC Network and Tide 100.9 FM & WTBC 1230 AM.
